For over a century, the IEEE-SA has offered an established standards development program that features balance, openness, due process, and consensus. IEEE has been publishing more than 2,000 innovative research papers and articles about SOA per year since 2003. IEEE has become one of the largest IP holders on SOA in the world. IEEE Standards Association has formed SOA and Web Services Working Group to define industry standards that are dedicated to Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) since June 2006. Working Group Name: SOA and Web Services Short name: SOA Working Group Chair: Dr. Liang-Jie (LJ) Zhang IEEE SOA Working Group is under the IEEE Computer Society/Software & Systems Engineering Standards Committee (C/S2ESC) chaired by Paul R. Croll (Chair, IEEE Software and Systems Engineering Standards Committee). The mission of this IEEE SOA Working Group is to build foundational standards around SOA, solution-level reference architectures for SOA, and industry-specific solution standards for SOA.
